Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conveyed his condolences to the leadership of the House of Representatives on death of the lawmaker representing Isa/Sabon Birni Federal Constituency of Sokoto State, Abdulkadir Danbuga.
President Tinubu conveyed his condolences in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
The President said that “the lawmaker’s death has left an irreplaceable void within his family and deprived the constituents of his district a dedicated and unwavering voice in the House of Representatives.”
“His victory at the polls was, in itself, a testimony that he was loved by his people. He earned their respect. I understand that he had been providing effective representation for his constituents in the House.
“I offer my condolences to his family and constituents, as well as the people and government of Sokoto State. I also condole with the presiding officers of the House of Representatives and the entire membership over the devastating loss of an eminent colleague,” President Tinubu said.
The President prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Danbuga and for divine comfort to his family.
The late Danbuga was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he was said to have been admitted in the hospital around Tuesday noon.
He died in the early hours of Wednesday following a brief illness. He was survived by two wives, many children, and grandchildren.
