President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his swearing-in as the newly elected Governor of Ondo State, urging him to build upon the legacy of his predecessor.
The president tasked Aiyedatiwa with continuing efforts to improve security, enhance critical infrastructure, and expand economic opportunities for the people of Ondo State.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended his felicitations to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his swearing-in.
The president encouraged Aiyedatiwa to leverage his overwhelming mandate to serve the people of Ondo State by focusing on poverty reduction and continuing the legacy of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, ensuring the state’s progress and development.
“I congratulate you for your successful inauguration today for a new term of office after an outstanding run in the last governorship election in Ondo State.
“You have a rare privilege to succeed your illustrious predecessor, who worked for the growth and development of the state and advanced the progress of Nigeria as a whole. Having been sworn in today for a fresh term in office.
President Tinubu urged the newly sworn in Governor to work in the best interest of the people of the state and Nigeria as a whole.
“ I urge you to work in the best interest of the people of the state and our country as a whole. I will be your partner in progress to usher in a new era of prosperity to the people of Ondo State,” President Tinubu said.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, who succeeded former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, was sworn in on Monday in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State.
