President Tinubu Congratulates Sambo on Turbaning as Sardaunan Zazzau

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated former Vice President Namadi Sambo on his turbaning as the Sardaunan Zazzau, a revered traditional title in the Zazzau Emirate, Zaria, Kaduna State.

President Tinubu noted that Sambo’s well-deserved investiture further underscores his deep-rooted commitment to the service of his community and the nation.

He stated this in a congratulatory message issued by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on the turbaning of Sambo as the Sardaunan Zazzau by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, on Saturday.

The President described the traditional honour as a recognition of Sambo’s exemplary leadership and contributions to national development.

He lauded the former Vice President’s record of humility, statesmanship and dedication to humanity.

President Tinubu noted that the title of Sardaunan Zazzau a position of great cultural and historical significance in Northern Nigeria reflects the Emirate’s confidence in the former Vice President’s wisdom, integrity, and commitment to society’s progress.

He further commended the Emir of Zazzau for upholding the noble tradition of honouring individuals whose character, leadership, and patriotism embody the Emirate’s values and reflect the spirit of unity, service, and integrity.

While felicitating the former Vice President on his new traditional role, the Nigerian Leader wished him success and urged him to remain a source of inspiration and guidance to the younger generation.

He further encouraged him to collaborate with traditional and community leaders in promoting peace and advancing national development.
