President Tinubu Extols Religious Bodies for Promoting Peace

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised religious bodies, particularly the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, for their contributions to promoting peace and tolerance.

At the African Lutheran Church Leadership Consultation in Abuja, the President highlighted the church’s efforts in fostering unity amid national challenges.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, represented the president at the event.

The Vice-President for Africa of the Lutheran World Fellowship, Rev. Dr. Yonas Dibisa emphasised the importance of sharing experiences and finding solutions to deepen unity.

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria Archbishop Daniel Okoh encouraged the church to be agents of transformation, advocating for unity over division.

The Archbishop of the LCCN, Rev. Musa Panti Filibus noted the gathering as a reflection of the church’s commitment to ongoing unity in diversity.
