Dokubo, who was addressing State House Correspondents after he met behind closed doors with President Tinubu, said his discussion with the President touched on security and oil theft, adding that the President is determined to rid the country of bad eggs.
Concerning oil theft, he alleged that the Army and Navy are deeply involved in the business but they will soon be fished out.
Dokubo emphasized that all those holding sensitive positions and sabotaging the interest of Nigeria would be shown the way out.
He said: “The President is a strong President. He is going to take decisive actions to get rid of the rotten eggs. It is not the whole Army and Navy that are bad but there are a few who have this entitlement mentality, thinking they have God fathers that are behind them but the President is going to remove such people and make it possible for the people of this country to benefit.
“For instance, Emefiel is gone, Bawa is gone Making reference to the suspension of the Governor of the Central Bank and Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) so more heads will roll. Those who are standing as an impediment to the good and progress of this country, the President will not dilly-dally with them, he is going to kick them out and when he does that, we will have the unfettered power and encouragement to get rid of oil theft.”
The activist advocated a strong collaboration between the military and locals to fight insurgents.
“In fighting insurgency, why would Nigeria not engage locals who are effective and more conversant with the environment? The hunters association, and civilian Joint Task Force can be engaged to confront this evil that has enveloped this country,” he added.
According to the activist, the enemies of Nigeria are the ones causing uprisings in some parts of the country and they must be stopped.
Dokubo also used the opportunity to call for the prosecution of the leader of the proscribed group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, whom he said has committed crimes against the State.
He cautioned those calling for the release of the IPOB leader from detention to desist from doing so.
“Releasing Nnamdi Kanu is rewarding criminality and gruesome murder of innocent people. He should face the law for the actions and the instigation he has carried out,” he said.
Asari Dokubo said he was in the State House to congratulate and show his support for President Tinubu.
