The Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Mohammed to the State House in Abuja during her two-day official visit to Nigeria.
The high-level meeting, held on Friday, centred on discussions about regional stability and development, key priorities for both Nigeria and the United Nations
The National Information Officer, United Nations Information Centre, Oluseyi Soremekun had announced on Tuesday that the UN DSG would discuss critical issues such as regional stability and development with the Nigerian Leader.
Soremekun also said that Mohammed would “discuss the leadership of the Economic Community of West African States with the President and other Senior government officials.”
Mohammed was joined by the Secretary-General’s Special Representative for West Africa, and the Sahel, Leonardo Simão and the UN Resident Coordinator in Nigeria, Mohamed Fall to the State House.
