President Bola Tinubu is in a meeting with Governors of the 36 States of Nigeria.
The meeting, which started at 11:20 GMT, is taking place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Governors, under the auspices of the Nigerian Governors Forum, are being led to the meeting by the new Chairman of the Forum, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
This is the first time the President is meeting with the Governors collectively, since he assumed office on May 29.
It is expected that today’s meeting will deliberate on the security situation across the country and as well touch on next week’s inauguration of the National Assembly, as consultations continue on the leadership of the 10th Assembly and appointments into key positions in the new administration of President Tinubu.
