President Tinubu Mourns Former Speaker, Na’Abba

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed grief over the passing of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, CFR.

 

Condoling the Na’ Abba family, the government, and the people of Kano State, the President expressed grief at the loss, recalling the contributions of the late former lawmaker to nation-building through legislation, advocacy, and policy.

 

President Tinubu in a statement by his Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, recalled Speaker Na’Abba’s struggle in defending the functionality and role of the legislature in governance.

 

The Nigerian Leader described the ex-lawmaker as a disciplined and resolute politician.

 

President Tinubu prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and comfort for those who mourn the painful loss.

 

The late Na’Abba was Speaker of the House of Representatives following the return of democracy in Nigeria from 1999 to 2003, he succeeded Salisu Buhari.

 

Ghali Umar Na’Abba was born on September 27th, 1958 and he died on the 27th of December, 2023.
