President Tinubu mourns Niger State Auto Crash Victims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as condoled with the families of those who lost their lives in an auto crash, along Takalafia, a village along the Yawuri Expressway, in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.

 

In a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Spokesperson, President Tinubu described the incident as a harrowing tragedy and directs all agencies responsible for emergency response to move in and ensure that those injured in the tragic accident get the necessary treatment with immediate attention.

 

President Tinubu implores citizens to be vigilant and safety conscious as they travel during this festive season and beyond.

 

The President prays for the repose of the souls of the deceased.

 

On Tuesday night, no fewer than 17 persons were reportedly killed in an auto crash at Takalafia, a village along Yawuri Expressway, in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.

 

The crash involved a DAF vehicle said to be overspeeding and subsequently lost control around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
