President Tinubu Presides over FEC Meeting

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, at the Council Chamber in the State House, Abuja.

Before the commencement of the process, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, formally notified the council of the passing of Ahmed Muhammed Gusua, Former cabinet member.

The council then observed a minute silence in honour of Gusua, who died on May 25th, 2024.

Recall that the last Council meeting directed a review of all planned procurements of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), especially some major projects of the Ministry of Works, to ensure better budget implementation.

Also, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi, at the last FEC meeting said President Tinubu directed a review of the procurement act to provide a better basis for performance as regards infrastructural development.

The meeting is being attended by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi Esan, the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Others present were members of President Tinubu’s cabinet.
