President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), led by its President, Daniel Okoh, on a Christmas homage visit to his Ikoyi residence in Lagos.

Speaking to State House correspondents on Friday after the visit, Archbishop Okoh commended the President for his commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture and for sustaining efforts aimed at ensuring that citizens live in peace across the country.

The CAN President observed that the 2025 Christmas season was the first in many years that the association was not jolted awake by midnight phone calls reporting attacks on churches, describing the development as a testimony worth sharing.

He expressed hope and prayers that the prevailing peace would be sustained in the months ahead.

“This visit by the leaders of CAN to the home of H.E the President and his wife the mother of the nation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu is to felicitate with the first family this particular period of Christmas and to appreciate them for what they are doing especially for providing for the poor and being committed to moving our country forward and of course the recent efforts they are making to see that every Nigerian lives in peace in this country” he said.
