President Tinubu remains focused on advancing Nigeria’s growth – Presidency
Temitope Mustapha, Abuja
The Presidency says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains focused on addressing critical national challenges and advancing his administration’s agenda for Nigeria’s growth and stability.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, responded to allegations made by former Vice President and 2023 PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, claiming that President Bola Tinubu was under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s scrutiny for financial dealings during his tenure as Lagos State governor.
Onanuga dismissed the claims, accusing Atiku of spreading falsehoods and manipulating facts for political gain
The Presidential aide further reaffirmed that the Presidency remains committed to transparency, accountability, and the pursuit of national development as well as priorities that demand undivided attention.
He rejected the claims, labeling them as false and rooted in unverified, baseless social media rumors aimed at maintaining political relevance.
Mr Onanuga emphasised that Atiku’s allegations are infantile and remain a transparent ploy to deflect from his political setbacks.
