President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally reallocated the responsibilities of two recently appointed officials within the State House media and communications team.

This decision includes the designation of three Special Advisers, who will collectively function as spokespersons for the government.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga disclosed that Sunday Dare will now serve as Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications.

Dare was on 23rd of October appointed initially to serve as Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation.

The statement also stated that Daniel Bwala who was announced last week as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication, is now to serve as the Special Adviser Policy Communication.

Onanuga said this is to enhance efficiency within the government’s communication machinery.

He also added that “these appointments, along with the existing role of Special Adviser, Information and Strategy underscored that there is no single individual spokesperson for the Presidency.”

Instead, all the three Special Advisers will collectively serve as spokespersons for the government.”

Onanuga added that the approach aims to ensure effective and consistent communication of government policies, decisions, and engagements.

It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu on Thursday approved the appointment of Daniel Bwala,  as his Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House).
