President Tinubu in the letter, sought for expeditious consideration of his request by the Senate.

“Distinguished colleagues, the presidential request is referred to the committee of the whole for consideration very soon,”  the Senate President said.

Given that the request reached the Senate on its final day of the week’s session, the red chamber may initiate the screening of the nominees next week after receiving the necessary documents.
