President Bola Tinubu has forwarded a letter to the Senate requesting the screening and confirmation of Kingsley Tochuckwu Udeh, (SAN) as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The letter, read during plenary by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, was subsequently referred for nomination to the Committee of the Whole for immediate consideration and screening.
Dr Udeh, who currently serves as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State, has been recently elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
His nomination follows the resignation of Mr. Uche Nnaji, former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, whose exit last month created a ministerial vacancy for Enugu State in Tinubu’s cabinet.

Mr. Nnaji, the only minister from Enugu State in the federal cabinet, resigned in the wake of controversy surrounding his academic and NYSC credentials.
President Tinubu’s request comes days after the Senate confirmed Mr. Bernard Doro as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after a screening session last week.
