The Anambra State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Okey Ezenwa, has urged newly inaugurated zonal and local government coordinators to intensify grassroots engagement in promoting the policies, achievements and objectives of President Bola Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ezenwa gave the charge in Awka, the Anambra State capital, during the inauguration of the RHA zonal and local government coordinators in the state.

He described the appointees as individuals entrusted with a critical national responsibility that goes beyond ceremony and requires sustained, people-focused engagement across communities.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are expected to clearly communicate the vision, policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration in line with the manifesto of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while fostering inclusive participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.

“This inauguration is a call to action,” Ezenwa said. “You are empowered to engage directly with citizens at the grassroots, from households to wards and communities, explaining government policies and how they translate into improved living standards,” he said.

He conveyed the appreciation of the Anambra chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to President Tinubu for the confidence placed in the group, describing the assignment as both significant and strategic.

He also commended the President’s leadership, which he said has recorded measurable progress in strengthening national unity and advancing development.

Ezenwa further acknowledged the role of the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, praising his leadership and guidance.

Addressing the zonal coordinators, Ezenwa described them as the vital link between the state leadership of the organisation and Anambra’s diverse communities.

He said they are responsible for coordinating RHA activities within their zones and for receiving, evaluating and submitting periodic reports from local government coordinators on programmes, progress and impact.

“You are expected to explain government policy intentions and demonstrate how they improve the lives of people in your zones,” he said, urging them to model principled leadership, sustain open dialogue and measure success through verifiable outcomes.

Frontline Ambassadors

Turning to the local government coordinators, Ezenwa described them as frontline ambassadors charged with policy advocacy at the community level.

He encouraged them to listen to local concerns, explain policies in clear and relatable terms, and build partnerships that advance shared development goals.

He stressed that their leadership must be inclusive and culturally sensitive, adding that they should present government achievements and future milestones transparently, while creating platforms for feedback and citizen engagement.

Ezenwa further tasked the coordinators with consistently linking the Renewed Hope Agenda to the specific needs of Anambra communities, particularly in the areas of security, economic development, healthcare, education and social welfare.

He urged them to project the agenda as a practical and evolving roadmap, highlighting achievements so far, outstanding priorities and opportunities for public participation.

He also called for regular town hall meetings involving residents, civil society groups, faith-based organisations and the private sector, noting that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors must be seen as a force that inspires confidence, drives measurable development and deepens public trust in democracy.

“I pledge to lead with transparency, accountability and an unwavering commitment to the people of Anambra,” Ezenwa said

He expressed optimism that the inauguration would usher in a renewed era of purposeful service, informed advocacy and broader understanding of President Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria’s sustainable development.
