President Tinubu Targets 10 Million Nigerians for Economic Empowerment in 2026

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced plans to accelerate the implementation of the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme, aimed at bringing at least 10 million Nigerians into productive economic activity across the country.

Speaking on Inclusive Growth and Social Development, President Tinubu in his new year message to citizens, said the initiative will empower a minimum of 1,000 people in each of Nigeria’s 8,809 wards, as part of efforts to drive inclusive growth and expand opportunities at the grassroots.

Through agriculture, trade, food processing, and mining, we will stimulate local economies and expand grassroots opportunities. We will also continue to invest in modernising Nigeria’s infrastructure – roads, power, ports, railways, airports, pipelines, healthcare, education, and agriculture to strengthen food security and improve quality of life. All ongoing projects will continue without interruption” he said.

President Tinubu also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained investment in modernising critical infrastructure, including roads, power, ports, railways, airports, pipelines, healthcare, education, and agriculture, to enhance food security and improve the quality of life of Nigerians.

He assured that all ongoing projects will continue without interruption.

To achieve the national goals, President Tinubu called for unity and responsibility adding that nation-building is a shared duty that requires the active participation of all citizens.

He urged Nigerians to stand together with a common sense of purpose and commitment to national ideals.

The Nigerian Leader emphasised the need for citizens to uphold honour and integrity in their respective roles, noting that progress can only be sustained through responsible conduct and mutual respect.

President Tinubu also urged Nigerians to strive to be better citizens, better neighbours, and responsible stewards of the nation, stressing that unity and collective resolve remain critical to Nigeria’s growth and development in the new year.
