The Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Governor of Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu.
President Tinubu visited the late Akeredolu’s family in Owo, Ondo State, days after the former governor was buried.
President Tinubu said the void left by the departed governor would be difficult to fill, stressing that “his legacies will endure forever.”
“He exemplified courage and fearlessness, particularly in his unwavering pursuit of good governance. He was a fearless advocate, dedicated to the welfare of his people. His courageous spirit will be remembered always,” the President said.
The former governor died after battling prostate cancer and leukemia on December 27, 2023, at the of aged 67.
The Nigerian Leader also visited Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the leader of the pan-Yoruba organisation Afenifere.
