Lieutenant Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf, the Aide-De-Camp to President Bola Tinubu, has been formally installed as the new Elemona of Ilemona land in the Oyun local government area of Kwara state.
This appointment follows the passing of his father, the late Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, the former Elemona.
Lt Col Yusuf has earned the admiration of the people of Ilemona through his notable acts of kindness and humanitarian efforts towards the community and its environs in recent years.
By the traditional customs and ethics of the Nigerian army, and having obtained the necessary authorization, the ADC has graciously accepted the decision of his people to assume the role of the incoming Elemona of Ilemona.
With the approval of the Kwara State Governor and the ratification of the State’s traditional council of Chiefs, Lt Col Yusuf is poised to receive his staff of office from Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Saturday, 13th of July, 2024.
Upon his installation, His Royal Highness, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf, Fiwadade Ilufemiloye Oyekanmi the second, the Elemona of Ilemona land, will appoint regents to the throne until he retires from military service.
