The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has debunked rumours of its alliance with other parties, stating that Prince Adewale Adebayo remains the party’s presidential candidate for the February 25 elections.

The national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr. Shehu Musa Gabam, announced this in a statement, reaffirming the SDP National Working Committee’s (NWC) position that the party is not in alliance with any other political party.
‘The party’s presidential candidate, senatorial candidates, candidates for the House of Representatives at the elections of Saturday, February 25, 2023 as well as governorship and State Houses of Assembly candidates for the March 11, 2023 elections remain the party’s candidates.
‘… The National Working Committee urges Nigerians to realize the country cannot afford to lead the people who seek liberation back to their oppressors by way of any alliance.
‘We have made sacrifices and laboured to build the party. We must
stand by the party and vote for the party,’ he reiterated.
He urged Nigerians to eschew vote-buying.
