A pro-Democracy and Anti Sabotage group, the NATIVES has commended Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu for his efforts and decisive actions in his 18 days in office.
The National Leader of the group, Mr. Smart Edwards who gave the commendation at a press briefing in Abuja said this is a sign that the President has the capacity to turn the country around.
“Mr President, barely two weeks, your actions in office have startled both old and young, minorities and majority, naysayers and believers, from your decisive political will showed on fuel Subsidy to your ability to bring countrymen/ workers back to the negotiating table, to the choice of reputable and capable COS and the SGF, the harmony of security agencies, engagement of stakeholders, the historical bills signed, the Electricity Bill, Students Loan bill, Data Protection Bill and the continuous offloading of a ready economic team, it is safe to say a New Era is here,” Edwards said.
The Natives’ leader further demanded that the new leaders in Nigeria in both the Executive and Legislative Arms of government make and execute policies that would set the country on a path of economic prosperity.
According to Mr Edwards, they want Nigeria to be a nation where young entrepreneurs can thrive and students can go to school and groundwater without interruptions.
“We just need our country to be on the pathway to success so that once you have an idea as a young man, you can walk to a bank and the bank can support your ideas. When workers get their salaries on time, that is a working country, when retirees get their pension on time, that is a working country. When students of any dimension poor or privileged can go to school, finish, graduate, in 4 years and serve and then get a job and decide to leave the job and become an entrepreneur, that is development,” Edwards said.
