Niger state government in North Central Nigeria is to commence data collection of properties in 6 local government areas in efforts to address insecurity bedevilling parts of the state.
The State Commissioner for Finance, Zakari Abubakar who stated this during the opening ceremony of a 5-day Training of Enumerators on the data collection on properties in Minna the state capital, said the programme is designed to strengthen Land administration and security in the state.
“The need for the state to have comprehensive data on properties across the state and need to secured the state with the data collected necessitated the programme in the state.“
The Niger State Commissioner for Land and Housing, Moukhtar Nasale mentioned that the programme which is in partnership with the World Bank and the Government of Nigeria is to ensure and maintain a united digital data base on properties across the state.
