Prudent Energy Handball: Unbeaten Kano Pillars smash Owena Kings 30-14

Champions Kano Pillars are on course for a successful title defence as they won their 19th game of the series by beating Owena Kings 30-14 yesterday in the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League at the University of Lagos Sports Hall.

Pillars are yet to drop a point and yesterday’s win was a routine as the champions dominated with little room for their opponents to operate.

The Solomon Yola-tutored team have so far painted the competition with goals and victory against Owena is a further warning signal to their remaining opponents.

In other games, D: Defenders defeated Benue Buffaloes by 28 to 26, while Tojemarine Academy were dismissed 17 to 23 by former champions, Niger United.

In the women class, Plateau Peacocks battered Bendel Dynamos 24 to 12.

Today’s Match Day 10 fixtures will see fans watching exciting encounters between Benue Buffaloes and Owena Kings, while Confluence Stars will square up against Rima Strikers, as Safety Shooters have a duel against Police Machines, Tojemarine Academy versus league leaders, Kano Pillars, and Lagos Seasiders against a high flying Niger United players.

In the female class, Imo Grasshoppers will take on Defenders Babes, while Adorable Angels will clash with Bendel Dynamos, as Kada Queens square up against Seasiders Babes, Benue Queens will test their strength against Safety Babes, and Rima Queens against Plateau Shooters.
