Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has paid 2,730 pensioners of the Civil Service Pension Department an accrued arrears and gratuity to the tune of N846,146,987.71 owed them.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Head, Corporate Communications, PTAD, Olugbenga Ajayi and made available to Journalists in Abuja.
According to the statement, the arrears paid to the retirees, ranged from previously verified pensioners not on the payroll, those who did not received their gratuity on retirement as well as failed payments on the GIFMIS platform.
The statement said the Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Sulayman Shelleng, acknowledged that payment is ongoing and will continue till accrued arrears are cleared.
The acting PTAD boss assured pensioners who are yet to receive their arrears to be calm as the Directorate is working to ensure that outstanding arrears of pensions and gratuity are paid very soon.
