Public Service: Workers should give their best – Permanent Secretary

Nigerian public servants have been urged to always put in their best while in service in order to leave a lasting legacy they could be remembered for after retirement.

The Permanent Secretary in the State House, Tijjani Umar gave the advice at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, during an event to send off a Director of Administration, Mr Dare Richard, who recently retired after attaining the mandatory age of sixty.

He harped praises on the outgone Director for working so hard, leading to a lot of successes in his department and the State House.

Also speaking, Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of the Vice President, Ade Ipaye, described the outgone Director as a humble leader and a team player.

In his Vote of thanks, Mr Richard appreciated the high level of cooperation he received from his subordinates. 

He pledged to offer advice even in retirement when called upon to do so.
