QNET, a global e-commerce-based direct-selling company, has reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technological innovation to promote direct selling and well-being in Africa.

The company also emphasized the potential of the direct selling industry for Nigerian entrepreneurs. This recommitment aims to harness technology to drive growth, empowerment, and well-being across the continent, aligning with QNET’s mission to empower entrepreneurs and enhance lives.

This was highlighted during the second V-Convention 2024 Media Experience-sharing webinar in collaboration with Transblue Limited.

QNET, an e-commerce and direct-selling company, recently concluded its V-Convention 2024 in Penang, Malaysia. The event brought together over 8,000 attendees from 30 countries, showcasing the company’s commitment to empowering individuals and communities worldwide.

Speaking during the webinar, the Managing Director of Transblue Limited, QNET’s legal partner in Nigeria, Mr. Akeem Ajisafe, highlighted the value of direct selling as a means of personal and financial empowerment. He stated that the industry is growing rapidly, with the global market expected to reach $204.89 billion by 2032.

“Direct selling offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to leverage their skills and build successful businesses with minimal capital,” he said.

He noted that VCON provides a platform for individuals to capitalize on entrepreneurship opportunities with minimal capital investment.

Ajisafe also addressed the misconceptions surrounding direct selling in Nigeria, stressing the importance of distinguishing between legitimate direct-selling companies and pyramid schemes.

“QNET is committed to ethical practices and transparency. We are working to educate the public about the benefits of direct selling and to dispel negative stereotypes. We believe that Nigeria has a bright future in the direct selling industry. By embracing this model, entrepreneurs can create jobs, generate wealth, and contribute to the country’s economic growth,” he said.

Also speaking, Theodocia Quartey, QNET’s Senior Legal Counsel for Sub-Saharan Africa, explained the significance of the VCON media webinar.

“The event provided a platform for attendees to deepen their product knowledge, engage with experts, and experience dynamic networking opportunities. It’s a testament to QNET’s unwavering commitment to innovation and sustainability,” she stated.

Quartey further mentioned that VCON featured a diverse range of activities, including product demonstrations, workshops, and inspirational speeches.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn about QNET’s latest offerings, such as the eGuardX, a device designed to protect against the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation.

One of the journalists who attended the recent VCON, Mr. Sulaiman Aledeh, described his experience as thrilling.
