Ramadan: Group Donates Food Items to Inmates in Nasarawa State

A Nongovernmental charity organisation known as the Islamic Society of Eggonland (ISE) has donated food items worth millions of Naira to the inmates at the Correctional Center of Wamba local government area of the state.

The General Secretary of the Islamic Society of England, Umar Abdullahi Galle while delivering the items, said the food items included: 5bags of rice, 2bags of maize, 2 bags of ground unique corn, 2 bags of sugar, 1 bag of salt, others are 2 cartoons of fish, 2cartoons of Maggie cube and a 25L gallon of vegetable oil.

Love and care

He informed the leadership of the Correctional Service that, they chose this period which is a period to show love and care to people around the globe.

Today we’re here again to do what we are used to, and also appreciate the management of these custodians centers for keeping the facility to standard for giving the inmate the base orientation they deserve.”

“The door of our charity organization is always open to support and improve the living condition of the inmate.

“We are a charity organization that caters for an emergency, the vulnerable, and for all sorts of people that are in need,”  Abdullahi Galle noted.

He further used the avenue to encourage the management and members of staff not to rely on their effort towards enhancing their rehabilitation.

Responding, the comptroller of the correctional center, Wamba, Suleiman Adamu-Lengtun, expressed appreciation for the support and promised to utilize the food items judiciously.
