The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army, Major General Kevin Aligbe, hosted a Ramadan and Lenten breaking of fast ceremony, promoting interfaith harmony and unity among the barracks community in Niger state
Major General Aligbe emphasized the importance of collective prayers for the nation, its leaders, and the armed forces. He also acknowledged the efforts and sacrifices of troops deployed across the state and expressed appreciation for the support of their families.
According to Lt Col Sani Uba, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, TRADOC, the event aimed to foster unity and cooperation among the barracks community.
The ceremony was attended by heads and representatives of security agencies in Niger State, retired senior military officers, and members of the barracks community.
Highlights of the occasion included prayers by clergymen, presentation of tokens to the clergymen, and group photographs.
The Niger State Governor, Umaru Mohammed Bago, was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Brigadier General Bello Mohammed (retired).
