Ramadan: Nasarawa Speaker calls for Prayers for nation’s emerging challenges

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau has congratulated Muslims for witnessing the new month of Ramadan and successfully ushering in the Ramadan fasting.

The Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen enjoined Muslims to use the holy month to pray fervently for leaders at all levels to succeed, pray for the State and the Country at large to overcome its emerging challenges.

A statement by the Press Secretary to the Speaker Jibrin Gwamna quotes the Speaker Danladi Jatau as describing the month as special and very significant among the Muslim communities, hence the need to appreciate God for witnessing the holy month urging people to identify with each other during the period and beyond.

Speaker Jatau also called on well to do individuals in the society to use the period to support the less privileged ones among them to enable them observe the fasting with ease.

The Speaker congratulated the entire Muslim communities in the State and beyond wishing them successful 2024 Ramadan fasting with abundant blessings.

He called on believers to adhere strictly to the ethics and guiding principles of the spiritual exercise to gain the rewards associated with it just as he enjoined Islamic scholars to use the period to preach peace, unity and togetherness among their followers to have an egalitarian society and for development to thrive.

Speaker Danladi Jatau called on Muslims and the entire people of the State to pray and support Governor Abdullahi Sule to deliver on his mandate.
