Rangers FC Foundation Launches Youth Empowerment Programme
The Rangers International Football Club Foundation has launched a “catch-them-young” initiative, designed to help children and youths unlock their innate potential and build resilience to face future challenges.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Ebere Amaraizu, shared details of the programme in Enugu. He explained that the programme, named “INSPIRE ME,” was a deliberate initiative designed to foster innovation and resourcefulness among youths for sustainable development.
Amaraizu, a certified sports coach, stated that the programme was structured around a carefully designed psycho-social support framework, engaging children and young individuals.
“It is being implemented in collaboration with the Campus Technology Life Initiative, Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation, Coli Mental Health Academy, and Carmelite Prisoners Interest Organisation.
“The programme is aimed at inspiring youths to cultivate critical thinking, enhance resilience, promote self-discovery, and develop social skills and inclusiveness to help unlock their potential,” Amaraizu said.
As a certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) coach, Amaraizu emphasised that “INSPIRE ME” would promote values such as discipline, morals and ethical rebirth within targeted communities.
He believes the programme would help transform youths into valuable assets, steering them away from negative behaviours and guiding them toward sustainable, positive development.
