Re-electing Governor Sule ensures dividends of Democracy – Deputy Speaker

The Deputy Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Nehemiah Dandaura, has asked the Mada nation group and other State members to support Governor Abdullahi Sule’s re-election bid come 2023 as having him on the seat would ensure the dividends of democracy.
Dandaura made the call at a unity maiden marathon meeting of Mada Stakeholders of Nasarawa West Senatorial district held in Garaku, Kokona LGA of the State, with the Deputy Speaker as the Mada political leader in the State.
He urged the Mada nation to forget its differences and unite to move the nation forward.
“The meeting is to unite our people in Keffi Zone (Nasarawa West) and proffer political direction for them ahead of the 2023 general election.
“Let’s forget our differences, come together, move Mada nation forward, and benefit from the State government’s developmental strides beyond 2023. Let’s play politics that will bring development and benefits to our people and the society,” he stated.
The Deputy Speaker commended the stakeholders of Mada nation for turning out en-mass for the meeting, saying Governor Sule has done a lot and is still doing more to develop the State. Therefore, he deserves another term in office to consolidate.
“Please let’s give our maximum support to the government of the day, the government of His Excellency Engr Abdullahi Sule. Let’s all be loyal and support him to succeed beyond 2023. This is so we can enjoy more dividends of democracy as His Excellency has performed well in almost all sectors of the economy,” he added.
He urged the Mada nation and the people of the State to continue to be law-abiding, respect authority, and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations for development to thrive. Speaking, the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Mr. Zakka Yakubu, urged the Mada people to continue to unite for the overall development of the Mada nation and society.
Prof. Silas Gyar, a former Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, and Peter Mbucho, former Majority Leader of the State Assembly who is a Commissioner, of the Local Government Service Commission, among others, called on Mada nation to embrace unity at all times. They said that no society would achieve speedy development without unity and peace, hence the call for their advice.
The meeting had in attendance Mr. Radolph Para, former Permanent Secretary and Commissioner, State Civil Service Commission, Hon Paul Tella, SSA to Gov. Sule Political Matters, Engr. James Bashayi, President, Mada Development Association (MDA), past and present political leaders, and traditional rulers, among other stakeholders.
