Remo Stars Coach Says Team Are Under Pressure

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has revealed that his players are under pressure in their quest for a first ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

The Sky Blue Stars continued to hold firmly to their lead at the top of the NPFL table on Sunday, thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win against relegation-threatened Plateau United in Ikenne, Ogun State.

They are now 12 points clear of the chasing pack that include Rivers United and Shooting Stars, who face each other on Monday.

Debutant Samson Olasupo struck in the 74th minute for what proved to be the match winner for the league leaders. Remo Stars captain Junior Nduka missed a penalty in the 38th minute and was also sent off in stoppage time.

Ogunmodede’s men, who have shown flashes of brilliance throughout the NPFL season, are now grappling with the weight of expectations, according to their tactician.

The coming weeks will be crucial for Remo Stars as they seek to navigate the pressures of the NPFL season. Ogunmodede’s ability to guide his players through this challenging period will be pivotal in determining their success.

Remo Stars will next face Bendel Insurance away from home in their Match Day 28 NPFL encounter and will be without their suspended skipper, Junior Nduka.
