
Remo Stars Maintain Title Push After Beating Heartland
Remo Stars stayed on track for a first Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, following a 2-0 home win against Heartland at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
In the 30th minute, Olamilekan Adedayo put Remo Stars in front one. Daniel Ogunmodede’s side then put the game beyond the visitors with Samson Olasupo netting the second 10 minutes from time as the match ended 2-0.
Remo Stars reinforced its position as serious contenders for the NPFL title, demonstrating their consistency and determination as the season progresses.
The Sky Blue Stars occupy top spot on the table with 57 points from 29 matches, while Rivers United remain in second with 49 points.
Ikorodu City 2-2 Enyimba
At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, Ikorodu City and Enyimba battled to a 2-2 draw in their Match Day 29 NPFL encounter.
Tosin Oyedokun gave Ikorodu City the lead four minutes before the break, while Mojeeb Odufeso equalised for Enyimba in the 66th minute.
Enyimba took the lead for the first time through Joseph Atule 13 minutes from time. Ayomide Cole levelled for the hosts deep into stoppage time as the match finished 2-2.
