Renewed Hope Mantra Made Me Donate My Campaign Structures – APC Chieftain

 

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state, Barr. Labaran Magaji said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope mantra gave him the reason to donate all his campaign structures to the presidential campaign and Gubernatorial campaign for Abdullahi Sule, even after losing the party’s 2022 senatorial primary election.

 

Speaking in an interview with journalists in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, Magaji said President Tinubu is the only renewed hope that has the capacity that would move this country into a great Nation.

 

He equally said that he did the same for Governor Abdullahi Sule because of what he has been able to do in Nasarawa state in just four years.

 

Magaji who is from the Total local government area of Nasarawa state, aspired to fly the senatorial flag of Nasarawa West senatorial district comprising, Keffi, Kokona, Nasarawa, Toto, and Karu local governments under the platform of APC but lost out to his opponent.

 

He pointed out that apart from President Tinubu being very supportive of successive governments in the country, both his antecedents and policy documents show that he can deliver.

 

“My team and I studied the manifestos, the ‘Renewed’ hope agenda of President Tinubu, and indeed the policy trust of our governor Engr. Abdulahi A. Sule. It convinced us that they will both deliver.

 

“It is based on that, that even after losing the primaries, we donated all our campaign materials and we also mobilize all our supporters to key into the progress of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule and at the end of the day we recorded a remarkable success in all that we were doing.

 

“I contested the senatorial primary election, and everybody supported including the high and the mighty but unfortunately Allah in his infinite mercy said look my son this is not the time to give you what you are looking for. But like we have always believed, once you are patient God will substitute what you’re looking for with something different under the circumstance. 

 

“We are never angry, we are never annoyed and we never attributed our inability to secure the seat to any individual”, Magaji noted.

 

He explained that even though there was a little distraction in the presidential election ranging from religious politics among others God gave APC victory at the end.

 

“Notwithstanding the little distraction arising from the introduction of religious politics that came in and other sentiments gave our victory a little setback in the presidential election, but ultimately, in our respective local governments; wards, and polling units we did remarkably well to deliver Mr. President and gov. Abdullahi Sule both of whom are from APC extraction”.

 

While appreciating the president for appointing Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, he advised him to also appoint young individuals with high intellectualism to help drive the wonderful agenda of his government.

 

The former Nasarawa west senatorial aspirant in the 2022 APC primaries election said his team is ready to assist Governor Sule and Tinibu’s government in whatever capacity or responsibility assigned to them, adding that, they were willing to key into the policy objectives of the present government.

 

“We supported them considering their pedigree, Tinubu has had an interest in politics for a long time. He has remained patient and supportive of any government that came on board under his party and

 of course the same thing with gov. Sule. I see no reason why we should not support them.

 

 “If that is the case, whatever responsibility is given to us, in whichever capacity whether in the state or at the federal level we are assigned to support the government, we are ready and willing to do it and key into the policy objective of the government those are my driving force”.

 

“President Tinubu came with the mantra of ‘renewed’ hope it has characterized itself. The hope of Nigerians is being renewed with the display of administrative acumen by Mr. President, everyone is happy that the government is on the right track. So, we hope that Nigeria will get back at it again”, Magaji added.

 

The legal luminary advised Tinubu and Sule to bring on board young individuals with high intellectualism to help drive the wonderful agenda of their governments.
