Renowned Entrepreneur Advocates Youth Empowerment For Nigeria’s Economic Growth

A renowned entrepreneur and Chairman of County Built, Dr. Abdulhakeem Bello Oyeniyi has urged governments at all levels to create a more enabling environment for young people to thrive and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

Dr. Oyeniyi emphasized the importance of policies that promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and skills development, particularly in critical sectors such as technology, agriculture, and renewable energy.

He further called for increased access to funding, mentorship programs, and infrastructure to empower young people and enable them to harness their potential for the nation’s economic growth and sustainable development

Also known as a philanthropist, Dr. Oyeniyi made the statement in Abuja Nigeria’s capital as he marked his 50th birthday,

Nation building

Hecalled on Nigerian youths to contribute to the country’s nation building and its socio-economic development.

Dr. Oyeniyi unveiled his empowerment plans which he refered to as projections for 2025, emphasising on ‘the importance of youth participation in shaping the future of Nigeria.’

He highlighted the country’s immense potential and opportunities that align with the aspirations of the younger generation.

“Nigeria is a great country with boundless opportunities that can meet the yearnings and ambitions of our youth.

“The future of this nation lies in the hands of its younger population, and it is crucial for them to embrace this responsibility with dedication and optimism,” Dr. Oyeniyi added.

He urged the government to create a more enabling environment for young people to thrive.

The entrepreneur also noted that “government must prioritise creating a favourable environment that enables young people to excel. This includes access to capital, quality education, and platforms for innovation.

These efforts will not only benefit the youth but also boost the nation’s overall economic standing.”

2025 projections

On projections for 2025, Dr. Oyeniyi encouraged collaboration between private and public sectors to invest in initiatives that empower young entrepreneurs and foster job creation.

He also emphasised the importance of putting values for hard work, integrity, and patriotism in the younger generation.

“The success of Nigeria depends on the collective efforts of its citizens. We must believe in our country, work together, and contribute meaningfully to its development,” he said.

Dr. Oyeniyi added that his message is a clarion call to both the government and youths to align their efforts toward building a prosperous and sustainable future for Nigeria.
