Reps Speaker mourns Sultan Dasuki

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, has commiserated with the Muslim ummah, Sultanate council, government and people of Sokoto state over the death of Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki.

In a statement issued in Abuja, by his Special Adviser on Media & Public Affairs Turaki Hassan, Dogara, described the late Sultan as a patriot and man of peace.

“Sultan Dasuki was an epitome of peace and a bridge builder who lived a simple and austere life inspite of his wealth. He lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.”

Dogara, who described the passing away of Sultan Dasuki as a huge loss, stated that “his contributions to the development of the country in the civil service and later in business and also as an elder statesman will remain indelible in our minds and history. Our hearts goes to his immediate family, the Sultanate council, government and people of Sokoto state indeed the Muslim ummah over this irreparable loss.”
