Resign If You Will Not Perform, Minister Tells Aviation Agencies CEOs

The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has organised an In-House inauguration and Induction of the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers and Directors of the Aviation Agencies in Abuja the Nation’s capital.

 

The new chief Executive Officers and Directors of the various agencies in the ministry have been urged to build a safe, secure and efficient aviation industry that will focus on making Nigeria a hub that meets international standards and best practices for the African continent.

 

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Mr Festus Keyamo charged the Newly Head of Agencies to perform the task imposed on them optimally for the growth of the Civil Aviation Industry in Nigeria and beyond, and anybody who feels he cannot deliver should resign.

 

“To actualise the five-point agenda for the growth of the Nigerian Aviation value chain, the Aviation Ministry is looking forward to a new phase of partnership and collaboration, by leveraging on the immense opportunities in the sector to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and joint-venture partnerships with heads of international economic organisations, presidents of transnational corporations and principals of leading privately-owned enterprises.”

 

Similarly, the Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Coordination Hadiza Bala -Usman while delivering her speech urged the Ministry of Aviation to institute policies that will bring development to the sector and double its performance because of the critical role they play in the country’s GDP.

 

The Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development Mr Emmanuel Meribole expressed confidence that the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers and Directors will achieve the desired result expected of them.

 

“Your roles carry significant responsibilities, and I trust that your commitment and expertise will contribute to the growth and success of our parastatals together, let us strive for excellence, innovation and service to our nation.”

 

The Chief Executive Officers while signing their performance bond, promised to contribute immensely to the growth of the Civil Aviation Industry in Nigeria by discharging their duties appropriately and promised not to disappoint Nigerians.

 

The Induction was aimed at equipping the Newly Chief Executive Officers and Directors of the agencies with all the necessary support and guidelines on the task ahead and to enable them to discharge their duties appropriately for the development of the industry and Nigeria.

 

The Agencies that the heads were inducted were Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority NCAA, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria FAAN, Nigeria Airspace Management Agency NAMA, Nigeria Meteorological Agency NIMET, Nigeria College of Aviation Technology Zaria NCAT, Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau NSIB, African Aviation and Aerospace University, AU
