Responsible Journalism: VON DG seeks synergy with NTA

As part of efforts to enhance collaboration and elevate media content, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON) Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace has called for collective commitment to responsible journalism, envisioning a united front in shaping the nation’s narrative.

He stated this during a visit to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) with his management team in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Mallam Ndace commended NTA’s dedication to factual reporting and emphasized its pivotal role in informing the public about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration policies.

He also called for commitment to objective reporting across the nation’s media landscape.

Acknowledging the positive transformation under the current NTA management, Mallam Ndace encouraged both organizations to convey the Nigerian narrative globally.

He emphasized the need for media in the country to support  President Tinubu’s renewed hope in moving the country forward

In response, the Director General of NTA, Abdulhameed Dembos, who commended DG VON for his efforts in repositioning Voice of Nigeria, expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort and welcomed the proposals from VON, particularly in the realm of content provision and journalistic endeavours.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to work together in achieving common goals, contributing to the growth and development of the Nigerian media landscape.

The potential partnership holds promise for a more robust and impactful media presence, aligning with President Tinubu’s administration vision.
