Rivers State Gets World-Class Healthcare Facility in Ogoni Land

Rivers State Governor in South Nigeria, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has inaugurated the Bori Zonal Hospital in Khana Local Government Area in his efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the state.

 

The hospital, a 105-bed capacity secondary healthcare facility, is equipped to provide world-class medical services, including referral secondary healthcare services, high-quality equipment for diagnosis and patient management, and specialized care for surgical cases, high-risk pregnancies, trauma, and mental health issues.

 

“The project is expected to reduce pressure on teaching hospitals, provide employment opportunities for healthcare professionals, and stimulate economic growth in the region.”

 

The hospital will serve residents of Ogoniland and Rivers South-East Senatorial District, providing access to quality healthcare services and improving health outcomes.

 

Governor Fubara emphasized his administration’s commitment to prioritizing the health, wellbeing, and success of Rivers people, and directed the Commissioner for Health to ensure the facility is open for use immediately .
