Rivers State Governor Reaffirms Commitment to Development

The Governor of Rivers State, located in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has assured citizens that his administration will overcome ongoing challenges and continue to deliver on its promises.

Speaking at the inauguration of the newly reconstructed Government House Staff Quarters in Port Harcourt, the state capital, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his dedication to good governance.

The staff quarters, located along Forces Avenue in the Old Government Residential Area (GRA), were rebuilt under his administration to improve living conditions for government employees.

In a statement, Chukwudi Nelson, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, acknowledged that a recent Supreme Court ruling may have unsettled residents but urged them to stay resilient. He emphasised that the government remains committed to its development agenda.

Governor Fubara stressed that his administration prioritises the well-being of the people and is prepared to make sacrifices to ensure progress.

He also highlighted the significance of the newly reconstructed staff quarters, which feature six two-bedroom apartments, 11 one-bedroom apartments, 11 boys’ quarters, and other modern facilities.

Expressing satisfaction with the project’s completion, the governor described it as a symbol of his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life in Rivers State.
