Road Safety To Synergize With Immigration For Efficient, Productive Outcome

The Anambra State newly appointed State Comptroller of Immigration (CIS) Edirin Okoto, has promised to synergize with Federal Road Safety Corps in the state for efficient and productive outcome.
He made the assertion when he paid an official visit to the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Anambra state Command, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi, recently in Awka, the state capital.
The AG sector Public Relations Officer of FRSC, the State Comptroller of Immigration relayed his visit to FRSC, as a result of his new appointment as the State Comptroller of Immigration, Anambra State.
He pledged assistance to FRSC in cases where his help is needed. He also promised to collaborate and work with FRSC in synergy.
Speaking at the occasion, the FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Adeoye A Irelewuyi, pledged to maintain the good synergy with the Anambra State Immigration Service.
He briefed him on FRSC statutory duties and responsibilities urging him to advise his men to adhere to safety rules and regulations on the road.
The Sector Commander also informed the Comptroller that the Command is embarking on a special enforcement tagged: “Operation show your driving licence” beginning from 4th April, 2023.
Additionally, Irelewuyi stated “that
every driver is expected to be in possession of their permanent or temporary drivers license as photocopies or written notes will not be acceptable. Stressing that drivers yet to collect their licences should go to Board of Internal Revenue and get theirs, he also stated that drivers with expired driving licences should renew them to avoid the wrath of the Corps.”
Highlights of the visit was quarter guard and presentation of Plague by the Sector Commander.
