Rotary International donates hospital equipment to FCT

Rotary International has donated hospital equipments to FCT hospital as part of their cooperate social responsibility to the administration.

While presenting the equipments in Abuja Nigeria’s capital, the leader of the delegation, Dr. Joy Okoro said the donation was in appreciation of the FCT hospitals in providing excellent hospital services to the general populace.

In particular, Dr Okoro commended the efforts of the FCT administration in curtailing the spark of the dreaded Coronavirus when it was at it peak.

She added that the Rotary International is fully aware of the quality and excellent services FCT hospitals is rendering despite present challenges of COVID- 19 pandemic.

She noted that, the rotary will continue to partner with the FCT administration to provide excellent services to the residents of the territory.

While receiving the items, the Acting Secretary, FCT Health and Human Services Secretariat, Dr. Mohammed Kawu has reaffirmed the commitment of the FCT Administration to continue to provide affordable and qualitative healthcare services to the resident of the territory.

The Secretary added that FCT Administration is doing everything possible to ensure that the residents of the territory gets the best of services any time they visit FCT hospitals.

He further added that recently, some of the hospitals undergoes general renovation to enable the personnel discharge its duties effectively.

Dr. Kawu therefore, thanked the District 9125 Rotary International for their gesture and promise to present the equipment to the FCT Minister and promise to ensure that the equipment be used in the hospital for the benefit of the FCT residents.

Items received include: 8 incubators and 8 jaundice to Maitama, Asokoro, Wuse and Nyanya general hospitals from District 9125 Rotary International in his office.
