Salary Review: Workers suspend industrial action at Abuja Board

The 3-Day warning Strike embarked upon by workers of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has been called off.

The Director of the Board, Mr. Osilama Braimah said in a statement made available to journalists on Thursday, in Abuja.

Mr Braimah said services have fully resumed at the agency with the workers at their various beats.

He explained that the Wupa treatment plant is functional while all the cemeteries have been opened.

The US Centers for Disease Control and WHO visited Wupa Sewage Treatment Plant this morning. Wupa is an international Polio Surveillance Center and Secretary HHSS led the visit to the plant“, he said.

The Director assured the workers that the FCT Administration will work assiduously to ensure that all grey areas regarding the adoption of the new salary structure for the AEPB were addressed to pave way for implementation.
