Saudi Arabia: Niger State begins Hajj registration

The Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board In North Central Nigeria has commenced the registration of intending Pilgrims for the 2023 Hajj exercise.

The Executive Secretary of the Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Umar Maku Lapai stated this in Minna, Niger State capital on Wednesday during an interaction with Stakeholders on the preparations of the Commission.

Maku Lapai who said the Board has already allocated 2265 seats for the 2023 Hajj to Saudi Arabia added that; “Each pilgrim is expected to pay N2.5 million minimum deposit pending the outcome of the new Hajj fare by the National Hajj Commission.

 

Maku Lapai further said the Commission used the approval of the 2022 seats allocation pending when the NACHON will give us our full allocation.

“The 2.5 million naira minimum deposit must be with a certified bank draft with the necessary information of the intending Pilgrims to avoid unnecessary swapping.”

The Executive Secretary of the Niger State Pilgrims welfare Board who said Forms have been distributed to Area Pilgrims officers in accordance with the existing policies of the Pilgrims commission further urged pilgrims officers across the 25 Local Government Areas of the State on dedication and honesty in the cause of carrying out their activities during the Hajj exercise.

He however reiterated the commitment of the Commission to airlift all intending Pilgrims from Minna International airport to the Holy Land.
