The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC ), Major-General Shuaibu Ibrahim has commended staff members for their enormous contributions to the success recorded by his administration so far, while urging them to continue in that positive light.
The Director-General gave the commendation at the National Directorate Headquarters of the NYSC in Abuja as members of staff comprising Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and others, including security personnel, and Corps Members came out in their numbers to welcome Major General Ibrahim, who came to the office for the first time after his decoration with his new rank of Major General.
The welcome parade which included a quarter guard saw the officers queue up from the entrance gate to the reception lounge of Gowon House.
Amidst cheers, the staff members who could not hide their elation over their boss’ elevation to the pinnacle of his career hailed him over the tremendous achievements recorded in the two and half years he has spent in office as Director-General.
It will be recalled that the news of the Director-General’s elevation from the rank of Brigadier General to Major General filtered the air in the third week of December, 2021 and was subsequently confirmed with his decoration, Thursday, 30th December, 2021 by the Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (rtd), assisted by the wife of the Director-General, Mrs Martina Shuaibu-Ibrahim.
