The governor also revealed that his visit provided an opportunity to engage directly with the students, addressing their challenges and gathering valuable insights from the pioneer batch of over 400 students sponsored to various universities in Uganda and India as part of the 100,1 Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme.

According to the statement by his spokesperson Sanusi Bature, the visit enabled the governor to conduct an on-the-spot assessment, aimed at enhancing preparations for the next set of beneficiaries, both for foreign and domestic scholarships.

This initiative, Governor Yusuf noted, reaffirms his administration’s belief in education as a transformative tool for societal growth and development.

Bature added that the governor’s visit serves as an inspiration for students to strive for academic excellence, both at home and abroad.
