The Social Democratic Party, SDP, has inaugurated a twenty-man planning committee for its national convention and presidential primary election of the party.
The Chairman of the Party, Mr. Shehu Gabam, inaugurated the committee in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Governorship candidate of the SDP Ekiti State, Mr. Segun Oni, is the Chairman of the committee, Dr Olu Agunloye, Secretary, and Mr. Ibrahim Modibo, the committee’s Deputy Chairman.
While inaugurating the committee, Mr. Gabam said the party is known for transparency and integrity, “we have had the reputation of hosting the most crisis-free conventions in the recent democratic history of our nation.
“In considering the committee’s membership, the integrity of members guided us.”
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Oni, said that the committee would do its best to deliver the responsibility saddled on the committee and promised to be more transparent in discharging its duties.
The SDP convention is scheduled to hold on June 8, 2022.
