The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Adebayo Adewale says he will ensure women’s inclusion in his administration if given the mandate to be the Nigerian President in 2023.

Adewale said that women play a significant role in nation-building and will make women visible in his government.

He urged political leaders to respect women, saying “the fear of women is the beginning of wisdom.”

Adewale made the statement in a three-day conference with Presidential Candidates of Political Parties, organised by Nigerian Women Search for Good Governance in Abuja Nigeria’s Capital.

According to him, women are the reason Nigeria is united through intermarriages.

He also said that women are virtuous and have the patience to be good leaders if given the mandate to lead.

The SDP President Candidate also said the issue of insecurity would not be business as usual as he would ensure more intelligence gathering and surveillance in tackling Nigeria’s security challenge.

The organisers of the event known as Nigerian Women Search for Good Governance also called for Women’s inclusion.

The three-day conference with Presidential Candidates of political parties has the theme Good Governance for Better Nigeria.
