SDP Welcomes El-Rufai, Reaffirms Commitment To Discipline

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Nigeria, Mr. Shehu Gabam has welcomed and received the  former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-rufai who defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The SDP National Chairman, while receiving Mallam El-rufai in Abuja, said his party has a discipline merchnism and that they are mentaining mental stability and sanity as they opens door for defectors from other political parties across the country.

Mr. Gabam also said that Mallam Nasir El-rufai is an “Added Value” to the SDP and not a “liability” to the party.

He noted that the SDP would continue to create a level play ground to all the members of the party as he was expecting people to join the SDP without any precaution but don not open door for crisis.

He maintained that the SDP had a constitution that made the party Supreme above any individuals and that the would be a shining example to other political parties.

The Former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-rufai says he is reliefed and happy joining the SDP.

Mallam El-rufai who made the statement in an interview with Voice of Nigeria said he was abandoned by his former party the governing, All Progressives Congress, APC.

Mallam Nasir El-rufai said that the APC left him behind and stranded.

“I have to find a party that cares about the people” and “I have joined the SDP” he said.

“Now, I am with Soulmates that care about Nigeria, they are not in politics for themselves or their pockets. They are in politics to have a country that works for everybody,” he added.
