Security: Nigerian Army Convenes Stakeholders’ Meeting Taraba State

The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), has convened a high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State in North East Nigeria in a proactive move to ensure security and stability in Taraba State.

The Spokesperson of the Brigade, Captain Oni Olabundunde, said the meeting was presided over by the Commander, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, brought together various interest groups, tribes, and religious leaders to promote peace and security in the region.

The Brigade Commander emphasised the strategic importance of Karim Lamido LGA, highlighting its vast landmass and shared boundaries with neighbouring states.

“Peace is non-negotiable for the progress of Karim Lamido and its environs,” he stated, urging collaboration between the people, leaders, and security agencies to protect lives and property.

Hon. Britus Ilu Danjos, Local Government Chairman, commended Brigadier General Uwa’s leadership and pledged the LGA’s full support for a peaceful and secure environment.

The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to working with communities and stakeholders to maintain peace and security in Taraba State and beyond.

Captain Olabundunde confirmed the Brigade’s proactive measures, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring a secure and stable region.
